Rocking Chair by inspired by Charles Eames, 1948. In the early 1940's the designer couple Eames had the chance to experiment with new methods of bending plywood in the work they did for the navy wartime effort.They applied these techniques to their furniture design.

The RAR (rocking armchair rod), once designed by Eames has a moduled fiberglass-reinforced polyester seat and an Eiffel tower base with birch wood rockers on the bottom. it is said that the RAR rockers were originally gifts to Herman Miller employees who just had newborns!

The mission of Charles and Ray Eames was to get the most of the best to the greatest number of people for the least had an enormous impact on twentieth-century design practice. Their achievements continue to be held in the highest regard today, as they are increasingly recognised as having single-handedly changed the course of modern design.

Charles Eames helped Eero Saarinen in the presentations for their designs for the Museum of Modern Art "Organic Design in Home Furnishings (1940)". Eames and Saarinen's designs produced by moulding plywood into intricate curves won them first prize.
