Verner Panton Born 13 February 1926 Gamtofte (Denmark) - died 5 September 1998 Copenhagen (Denmark)

Verner Panton was not the quintessential Scandinavian designer. Ha was more influenced by  European and American design, particularly the designs that veentured into the pop art and futuristic narrativesthat were being explored by the likes of Joe Colombo and Archizoom during the 1960s and 1970s.

He explored furniture and interior spaces by conctantly engaging with new materials and production. techniques and by remaining true to his own interest in colour, pattern and form.
